Canon New EF Lens EF 200mm f/2L IS USM
Canon is pleased to launch a new EF Lens – EF 200mm f/2L IS USM telephoto lens. The
lens will be available for sale on 22nd May (Thursday).
The new EF 200mm f/2L IS USM’s new optical design features 1 large diameter fluorite lens
and 2 Ultra-low Dispersion (UD) lenses to correct chromatic aberrations, making
high-resolution, high-contrast shooting performance possible to enrich colors in the bright
area and preserve fine details in the low-contrast area. The lens incorporates a high
performance Optical Image Stabilizer that gives a stabilization effect equivalent to a shutter
speed of 5-stop faster. In addition, the large aperture of f/2 not only gives excellent bokeh but
also provides great help in low-light shooting. All these characteristics are essential to
portraiture and indoor sports photography. The lens thus will definitely become a favourite
among professional portrait photographers and indoor sports photographers.
